We did it! With the help of several generous donors we raised $90,000 to purchase a house – Hogan House (formerly known as Mema’s House). This site has been designated as an empowerment center for this edge of the city multiracial, notably high crime Demaret Drive neighborhood in Columbia, Missouri. The first phase of development was building community relationships and opening a Food Pantry to meet some immediate needs, but there are more exciting things to come as partnerships and funds are available.
